Chartering Members

MU CHI CHAPTER 

 was chartered in Los Angeles, California on May 7, 1966 by 14 visionary nursing professionals. Its charter members were: Josephine Alexander, Frances Barton; Carolyn Bowman; Oriole A. Bryant; Omeria Butts; Edwina Harper; Josephine Hooks; Elizabeth Hunt, Sybil Jackson, Edna Lee; Clara Love; Arrie Adams Moore; Barbara Moore and Mary Solomon.

 Mu Chi has been the home chapter for a number of Regional and National Officers. Soror Josephine Alexander was the 13th Supreme Basileus. We currently have 43 active members. .

The chapter became incorporate in the state of California September 18, 1987, a California state exempt organization, August 14, 1989 and received it’s 501 (c) 3 status, October 26. 1993.
